July Book Update

Tags :

Hey all,

I made the goal to read 24 books this year. I’ve already reached that and then some!

Here’s the list of books I either read or listened to in July!

Adult Post-Apocalyptic Sci-Fi
We’ve been listening to this series on and off for over a year, and I can say that this book did not disappoint. Between killing zombies, political drama, tanks, and one heck of a butt chewing for some colonel who totally deserved it I had a grand time with this one!
(Foul language warning)
Romantic Comedy
The unique premise of this one drew me in, and the great writing kept me going. The book deals with grief, healing, changing, and of course love. Not to mention the LOL moments!
Adult Sci-Fi with Aliens
The actual writing in this series is only okay, but the characters and the story are excellent! This installment started out slow, but I was glued to it by the end. I listened to this one.
Romantic Comedy
A whimsical, caring girl vs a slightly grouchy boss. He doesn’t stand a chance!
YA Contemporary (Sort-of)
I was on the edge of my seat for most of this book. There are images imprinted on my mind that will never fade, and that’s good. The book holds the stories of three kids who have to flee their country: one from WWII Germany, one from 1994 Cuba, and one from 2015 Syria. This one brought me to tears a few times. Proceeds from this book go to help child refugees. It was amazing. READ IT!
Romantic Comedy
Another good premise in this book. The unique connection to social media was great. The characters clicked and there was plenty of swoon.
