May Book Update
I made the goal to read 30 books this year.
As of today I’m at 24.
I feel like I might have Scottied this a bit. You know, say you need an hour to fix something that’s really only going to take you fifteen minutes. So that when you finish early you look like a miracle worker.
In my defense, I listened to all but one of these. We’ve spent a lot of time driving and doing yard work this month.
Here’s the list of books I either read or listened to in May.
A hilarious romcom that had me laughing in the car multiple times. Very cute. Fun premise.
This one contains some language and inuendo, if that matters to you.
Political intrigue, great action, and one of the grimmest (is that a word?) post apocalyptic worlds I’ve ever read. And yet, there’s hope.
This is book 2. I listened to it.
Quirky, fun, LOL adventure. Great word building and awesome characters.
I listened to this one. It’s book 2 of the series.
A swoony prince and a feisty Italian waitress. Plenty of LOL moments in this one. Good chemistry. A worthy second book in the series.
Amazing magic system, interesting alternate history, very noir characters, and loads of action.
(Personally, I’m not a big fan of the cover.)
