I just wanted to hop on and drop a couple of quotes that I love.
Yes, there are the typical Christian “Remember the Reason for the Season” adages going around, and I love those, but the hubby and I have been watching alternative Christmas specials.
We’re Doctor Who fans, and we both like The Librarians.
Not your typical Christmas fare, I’ll grant you that, but there are a few things that have really struck me from them.
First, the Doctor Who Christmas Carol.
This is one of the most brilliant retellings of this story, and the ghost of Christmas yet to come is…well…an awesome moment in the show.
There are two quotes that I love from this one.
Then there are The Librarians. In their Santa Christmas special, Bruce Campbell plays Santa, who gathers the power of good will throughout the year then releases it on Christmas Eve. (He refers to himself in the third person through the whole episode, and it kills me.)
Seriously, I loved this take on Santa! This is something he says, and I fully believe it’s true.
I hope you have something or someone to celebrate this year. If things look bleak, know that time will go on and you’ll soon be out of the dark.
