Why I’m Loving The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

There are some shows / books / movies that I immediately fall in love with.

This is one of those shows.

Not because it has an outstanding plot, or the best characters ever (although I do like the characters), or even because it continues the MCU.

I love this show because…camaraderie.

Sure these guys seem to hate each other, but we all know they’d go out of their way to save one another, and pretty much anyone else who might be in trouble.

Also, that staring contest in episode two. And I’m still laughing about the Gandalf comment.

Sam is one of my favorites in the MCU. I’ve liked him from his first appearance in Winter Soldier and cried when he said, “On your left” to Cap in Endgame.

Bucky is a bit of wild card, but he’s been through a lot fighting his way out of dark places, and is Cap’s best friend, so how can I not like him?

Thus far they’ve done a good job in the show with the plot. WandaVision was a bit too…strange for me at first. I ended up liking it, but it took a while.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier drew me in right away and hasn’t let go.

They have a good story going. I know they’re trying to make me like this new Captain America, but I’m hesitant. He’s no Steve Rogers.

Which is the same problem Sam and Bucky are having.

Which is a brilliant writing move.

If you haven’t seen it, check out The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It’s fun, action-packed, and at times it hits you in the feelers.

All of this has me thinking about something I’ve been wanting to write for a while. It may need more camaraderie. Hmmm…
