Old Stuff

My sisters and I are going through some of my parent’s stuff, and we keep finding all sorts of gems.

For instance, I knew my mom’s mom was an elementary teacher, but by the time I was born she had Parkinson’s disease and I never got the chance to get to know the real her.

Apparently, she had a sense of humor. Honestly, I didn’t know any of my grandparents had a sense of humor, so maybe I got mine from this grandma.

She made these silly puns for her classroom. My dad was never into dad jokes, so I guess I’m a victim of grandma jokes? Here are a few of them.

Haha…
Quack, quack!
Is this one eye-roll worthy?

We’ve also found a few things that my great-grandmother crocheted.

I think we have pictures of someone wearing this, but I’m not sure.
This afghan is made of wool. So itchy! And heavy.

I think I would have liked your Grandma and her sense of humor.

Now I wish I would have known her before her body and mind fell apart.
